So this is my “compact” rental for the week. A bright red 2020 Challenger with 2500 miles and temporary tags.
Don’t get me wrong, this is a cool looking car and I appreciate it has decent pep, is quite striking ([mustang joke]), and has a surprisingly large trunk.
However....
The visibility is terrible.
The steering is twitchy on the highway.
UConnect always defaults to the radio if you were on bluetooth.
The proximity door unlock feels dimwitted and slow.
The trunk is hard to open.
The wiper controls are on the wrong stalk.
And t he headlights suuuuuuuck.
Not saying it is a bad car... just maybe not the best rental car haha.

Maybe your has a bad alignment somehow since the one that I drove through the Smokies had quite good steering

When I worked at Enterprise back in the day these were the worst to park. No mandated backup camera then and of course they never chose that option. Tiny mirrors too. Idk if this or the Camaro was worse.

Having owned both, no. They're probably equally bad from the rear, but the Challenger is definitely better from the side and front.

The R/T I had was pretty fun in the corners for a car it’s size . Planted and not much body roll.

Maybe? It isn’t bad so much as too twitchy. Lots of little corrections to go in a straight line.

I know, but if you look at the back of one of these things they are about a foot wider than any car or light truck on the road. If it is a lower end version with relatively wimpy tires it looks like one of those carton weightlifters with a large upper body and tiny legs and feet. You may be able to tell, not a fan of these.
